How to check if your film is loaded properly?

I'm using a DianaF+ camera with 120mm film and this is my first time loading the film. I have loaded the film but the spool on the right is slightly slanted to the left. I have unloaded the film and tried taking a picture and have no problem advancing to the 2nd exposure. How do I check if I loaded the film correctly? What happen if I did not load it correctly and is it okay if I take out the film and reload it?

Normally you will know it's properly loaded if you feel some resistance advancing the film
