How do I restart my canon eos s film camera ?

I have a canon eos s film camera but everytime I put a new role of film in it, the camera winds it back into the film like I've already taken pictures. Is there anyway to restart my camera so that it doesn't eat the film anymore ?|||Usually, you need to press a small button on the bottom of a 35mm slr to release the takeup reel, so you can rewind the exposed film. Check to see if the release button is stuck in the down position. Also be certain you've correctly loaded the film so it catches on that takeup reel. Some cameras just require that you lay the film across the back and close the camera. Others require you to insert the leader (narrow beginning) of the film into a slot in the takeup reel.

Hope this helps.
