I have a surround sound system. I know most films are in surround sound (Dolby 5.1) But I was wondering... which film makes the best use of it?|||star wars, lucas is the ultimate sound geek|||KING KONG, its long loud, and you'll love it!|||i would go along with action and sci-fi......independance day should be a good one.
also dont forget that depending on the size of the room and speaker positions, what you hear will not be the same as someone else;s system.....take a look in the settings and you should find that you can set the delay to your surround speakers, although minimal, it can make a big difference to what you hear, when the effect is needed, but dont expect sound 'whizzing round the room' all through the film, 5.1 is used to enhance the 'moment' in films.|||mel gibsons "we were soldiers" will test ur neighbours patients or saving private ryan. i`m not a big james bond fan but the bond films make good use of the surrounds. lord of the rings is very good as are all of the star wars films. also if u look on play.coms site u can buy dvd`s that show off ur surround speakers but there are lots and lots of films out there that make very good use of ur surround speakers and it doesn`t neccessarily mean watching war movies|||try terminator 2 and the incredibles?|||Star Wars 1-3 are good.
War of the Worlds
Saving Private Ryan
Lord Of the Rings (Esp Return of the King)
The Matrix (All 3 I suppose, but esp first one)|||Saving private Ryan,Pearl harbour,The bodyguard,What lies beneath,The decsent, these are just a few i can think of,that sound great with surround sound|||some action movies with a lotta BANG BOOM POW POW|||all the THX starwars movies and saving private ryan|||I think the best movies to watch are indiana jones, star wars, jurassik park and congo. but according to critics the best sound ever is from apocalypse now|||Top Gun
True Lies
Both sond fantastic.|||SAVING PRIVATE RYAN , KILL BILL, U571, MASTER AND COMMANDER, HEAT. THE SHOOTING SCENE IN HEAT, YOU WILL FEEL LIKE YOUR ACTUALLY THERE.
