What is the difference between a quebecois film and an american film?

I am doing a "film review" on the movie titles, "5150 rue des ormes" (which i recommend everyone watching if you enjoy horror flicks) but we have to describe the difference between movies in Quebec and those in America. Could you help me if you know the difference between a Quebecois film and an American film? MERCI!|||A Quebec film is made with money from a production company that is in Quebec or is funded by the province. It is a Canadian film not an American film. It may be in french only because many people in Quebec speak French (then again many speak english too). Honestly I have no idea why you are supposed to describe difference in films from different places using on one film example. That makes no sense. Films are different because of the experiences of the writers, directors etc it has nothing to do with where they got the money from. I would write about how judging difference in film based on just 1 example and not taking into consideration director or writer is crap.

I am not insulting you, I am insulting your assignment. You can't talk about where a writer or director is coming from using just one film, you'd have to know their whole history, which may or may not be completely related to where they live now. One Quebec film is not reflective of the whole. I am sure this film is nothing like Bon Cop, Bad Cop which is also from Quebec. Don't know what else to tell you.
